Tree Plantation on World Environment Day

In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5, 2024, a tree plantation event was organized by Government Science College Veraval to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. S.B. Chhag, who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the role of educational institutions in fostering eco-friendly practices, the event was celebrated. Enthusiastic participation was shown by 15 students, including NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers, alongside faculty members Mr. S.M. Sitapara and Mr. P.J. Jadeja. The day was commenced with a discussion on the significance of World Environment Day and the critical role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. Various saplings were then planted around the campus by the participants, and collaborative efforts were made to ensure each sapling was properly planted and nurtured for future growth. The campus greenery was enhanced by this initiative, and a profound sense of environmental responsibility was instilled among the participants, underscoring the vital contribution made by educational institutions in promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship. The tree plantation event at Government Science College Veraval was considered a resounding success, thanks to the collective efforts of students, faculty, and the invaluable guidance provided by Principal Dr. S.B. Chhag. A powerful reminder of our environmental responsibilities and the significant impact of educational institutions in fostering a culture of sustainability was served by this event. Positive contributions to our environment continue to be made through such initiatives, and the next generation is educated on the importance of ecological preservation.
