3-Day Nature Camp | Sasan Gir

Government Science College, Veraval organized a three-day Nature Camp (Prakruti Shikshan Shibir) at Sasan Gir from 18β20 November 2025, with 41 students (27 girls, 14 boys) participating enthusiastically.
Students explored the rich biodiversity of Gir under the guidance of resource experts and forest officers, learning about:
π³ Nature education & conservation
πΎ Wildlife behavior and forest ecosystems
π§ Water conservation & sustainable living
π Importance of bees, birds, bats & butterflies
π Climate, biodiversity & environmental awareness
Key activities included:
π Devaliya Safari Park visit
π Watch Tower & Museum exploration
π Morning jungle trail & Ghantlo Mountain hike
π Drawing & essay competitions
π Riverside visit (HiranβSaraswati confluence)
π₯ Cultural campfire nights with folk songs
All students received certificates on the final day.
The camp was successfully coordinated by Mr. J. B. Zala and Ms. K. A. Barad, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Smita B. Chhag. πΏβ¨
