Sanskrit Gaurav Yatra

As a part of ‘Sanskrit Week Mahotsav 2026’, a Sanskrit Gaurav Yatra was organized on 25th August 2026 from Tower Chowk, Veraval, to Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval.
The yatra was organized with the objective of promoting awareness, appreciation and pride in the Sanskrit language and its rich cultural heritage. Dr. Smita Chhag, The Principal of Government Science College, Veraval, Dr. Dhananjay Pandya, The Sanskrit Nodal Officer and more than 50 students of F.Y.B.Sc. actively participated in the yatra.
The enthusiastic participation of the students and staff reflected their dedication towards promoting Sanskrit and preserving its cultural and linguistic heritage. The yatra concluded at Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval, with a spirit of unity, cultural pride, and reverence for the Sanskrit language.
